Affiliate Disclosure
What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is WaTabi's primary source of revenue. When you click a specific link or button on our site and then make a purchase with that partner, the partner pays us a small commission. Your price never changes.
Our partners
- KKday (CID: watabi-24507) — primarily tickets, day-tours, rail passes
- Other travel-related partners may be added in the future (travel category only)
Editorial independence
Commission does not influence our editorial judgment:
- Every recommendation is something we've personally used.
- If a product isn't worth buying (e.g., the post-2023 nationwide JR Pass for most itineraries), we say so — even when the commission on that link is higher.
- We do not accept sponsored content where a partner dictates what we write.
- Every article containing affiliate links shows a clear disclosure at the top.
Compliance
We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on affiliate disclosure and equivalent regulations in Taiwan (Fair Trade Act). All external affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener".
Questions?
Doubt a recommendation's authenticity? Email [email protected] — we'll send proof-of-use for the item in question.
